Jai Raja
Jai Raja is a US born Actor of East Indian (India) descent who specializes in communicating messages to deep levels of humanity and consciousness. His acting career began on stage by performing in monologue competitions, taking home the “audience choice award” one year at the Filmstock Film Festival and sharing the “best actor” award the next. Around this time Jai decided to dip his toe in the film pool by accepting a few short film roles, and there he fell in love with acting and production.
From there he spent time being represented, sequentially, by two different SAG-franchised agents in Arizona. Mostly during these periods he worked on commercials and began to build a voiceover portfolio as well. Gaining notoriety for his frequent commercial appearances, he was offered a few commercial and modeling gigs that really put him on the map.
First was Leslie’s Pool Supplies. They saw Jai in the Valle Luna commercial toting a cowboy hat and offered him a modeling gig to be front-and-center on all their locations throughout the valley. For over a year he was the first face customers would see on the front door and this certainly caught they eye of a few other clients. Next Jai Raja was offered a lifestyle modeling gig with Twin Arrows Casino near Flagstaff, and was on their highway billboard for about a year.
Around this same time, the United States Department of Defense offered Jai 6 voiceover projects which he of course gladly accepted. Then Jai accepted the principal role in a Fulton Homes commercial and that produced amazing results. He worked on many other commercials such as for 5 hour energy, U Haul, and Arizona Federal Credit Union.
With these commercials and modeling projects earning Jai attention, he focused on episodics & feature films. He earned roughly 10 supporting roles in full feature films before landing two starring roles in “Orange Sky Grace” & “The Lifting”. Jai Raja is seen in various episodic projects such as two episodes of Travel Channel’s “Legendary Locations”, ABC’s “The Great American Light Fight”, “That 80’s Guy”, and more.
His most widely known appearance is as the first face in “Max Reload & the Nether Blasters”, starring Greg Grunberg, Martin Kove, Kevin Smith, Will Wheaton, & other well known actors. Jai is the first face in the opening sequence, and the production value as well as cast list made this project especially memorable in addition to of course the two starring roles in full feature films. Jai Raja continues to seek feature film roles and also considers all commercial/industrial/voice work offers.
